An equipment-rental business relocated between two Farmingdale properties and planned to bring its existing diesel and gasoline tanks to the new facility.
Although the tanks were existing equipment, their installation at the receiving facility required new design and permitting. The outdoor fueling installation incorporated a 4,000-gallon diesel AST and a 500-gallon gasoline AST.
ZE’s work included an on-site investigation led by Matt Zambrano to evaluate existing conditions. Working for the project’s contractor, ZE developed the fueling-system design drawings and permit submissions and assisted the fire-suppression contractor with its design plan.
The new-site design accounted for the existing tanks and the equipment needed to support diesel and gasoline fueling.

Concrete support, vehicle protection and emergency shutoff provisions were coordinated with the fueling layout and specialty fire-suppression design.
ZE coordinated the tank-system design and permitting requirements for installation at the receiving facility.
ZE also assisted the fire-suppression contractor with a system design plan. This work supported coordination between the fueling installation and the specialty contractor’s suppression system.
ZE provided tank-system design and permitting services to the project contractor. The approved tank-system designs were certified by a professional engineer licensed in New York. Fire-suppression work is described as design assistance to the specialty contractor.

The outdoor fueling system has reached the Suffolk County Department of Health Services (SCDHS) Permit to Operate stage, with administrative closeout pending. The Town of Babylon is completing its remaining inspections.
Construction is complete. The remaining steps concern agency closeout rather than installation work.
